The President of the Republic of Finland has granted Birgit Mäkinen the honorary title of kiinteistöneuvos at the presidential session on 28 November 2025.
Birgit Mäkinen has had a long and diverse career in the real estate sector and served as the CEO of Kiinteistö Oy Pikipruukki for nearly four decades.

In addition, the President of the Republic has in his role as the Grand Master of the Orders of the White Rose of Finland and the Lion of Finland awarded Kimmo Haapasalo the Cross of Merit of the Order of the Lion of Finland. Kimmo Haapasalo has served Kiinteistö Oy Pikipruukki as Technical Director and has completed an impressive 37-year career in the company.
